John is the forefront of the Rolling Stones Experience and fills the role of Mick Jagger in a stunningly convincing portrayal.John van Zyl started his music career as a teenager playing in bands in Adelaide, South Australia and since then his life has revolved around music.

Picture this!

Your in a large hall surrounded by 1000 other people. Everyone is seated waiting in anticipation of what is to come. The stage is dark and the absence of any kind of music is almost chilling.

You think to yourself, 'what can I expect from this so called Rolling Stones Experience'? Thoughts rush through your mind as you start to conjure up images of a half baked tribute band standing motionless on stage, delivering a few hours of back to back Stones tunes. Is this going to be just another standard tribute show?

Suddenly the silence is broken by what appears to be some type of tribal chanting. The stage remains dark but the chanting slowly gets louder and louder. Suddenly it stops. Its dead quiet and still the stage is black. The chanting begins again.

You suddenly remember the Stones concert you attended in the late 90's. It started the same way. You begin to get chills as your anticipation builds and your adrenalin starts to pump. Could this be more than the average tribute band?

Then it happens. With a burst of smoke and lights, the stage explodes with the familiar sound of Keith richards guitar with the intro to 'Start me up'. You know the figure on the stage is not Keith, and yet it seems almost surreal. Finally the whole band is playing and your andrenaline is now surging through your body as the hall echoes with the melodic sounds of The Rolling Stones.

Then it happens. From the side of the stage he appears, strutting out in the manner the world has become accustomed. You need to look twice to realise its not really Mick Jagger. But the voice and the appearance is so decieving.
